Beach Plum Festival

Sunday September 10 11:30 am Beach Plum Festival Come enjoy this festival dedicated to the beach plum, a plant that grows on the beach. This free festival includes food and vendors, and is located at pavilion #1 in Island Beach State Park on the New Jersey shore. Weather permitting, you can still swim. We will meet at 11:30 am in front of the Shoprite near the intersections of routes 70 and 73 in South Jersey in Marlton and carpool to the beach, and afterwards we will go out for dinner. Miniature Golf

Sunday September 24 2 pm Miniature Golf at Franklin Square Mini-Golf at 6th and Race in Philadelphia. We will meet at 2 pm at the ticket booth, and afterwards we will go out for dinner in Chinatown. The miniature golf costs $9 for an adult ticket, and there is also a carousel for $3. For more information contact Neil at 215-331-8194. Due to excessive heat, this event has been cancelled. It may be rescheduled later.

Play "Blood Wedding"

Sunday October 29 1 pm Play "Blood Wedding" at the Wilma theater near the intersection of Broad and Spruce Streets in Philadelphia. The play is based on a story by Federico Garcia Lorca about the events that transpire on a woman's wedding day. We will meet at 1 pm to buy tickets for the play, which starts at 2 pm. Hawk Mountain
|

Sunday November 5 8 am Hawk Mountain We will take a short hike and look for a variety of raptors from the top of hawk mountain. There is also a small museum and native plant garden. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, and. $5 for children. We will meet at 8 am in front of the Target at Bustleton and Bleigh Aves in the Northeast, then carpool to the mountain.
