Valley Forge Picnic

Friday July 4 10 am Community Picnic in the Park at Valley Forge National Park in King of Prussia, PA. Enjoy a cook-out, artillery demonstration, ranger-led walks, story tellers, and more. We will meet at 10 am in front of the Target at Bustleton and Bleigh in the northeast, then carpool to the picnic, which goes from 11-3. For more information contact Jon at 856-787-0325.

Sunday July 6 5 pm Eight Course Moroccan Meal at the Casablanca restaurant in Warrington, PA. The cost is $32.50 person, and we will meet at the Target at Bustleton and Bleigh in the Northeast at 5 pm, then carpool to the restaurant for the meal, which starts at 6. Franklin Institute Astronomy

Thursday July 10 5:40 pm Astronomy Night at the Franklin Institute Enjoy viewing the skies through multiple telescopes, a planetarium show, and a lecture. We will meet at the front steps of the Franklin Institute by the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 5:40 pm for the program which goes from 6-9. In the event of rain this event wil be rescheduled. Sunday July 13 12 noon Trip to Island Beach State Park Come visit this beautiful beach on a barrier island off the New Jersey shore. We will meet at the Shop Rite supermarket near the intersection of routes 70 and 73 in South Jersey at 12 noon, then carpool to the park. After going to the beach we may go out to dinner. Saturday July 26 10:00 am Round Valley State Park/1890s Music Festival at Historic Cooper Gristmill We will meet at 10:00 at the entrance way of Round Valley State Park, 1220 Lebanon-Stanton Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833, Department of Environmental Protection, 908-236-6623 to go swimming. The cost is $10/car for NJ residents and $20/car for out-of-state residents.
