Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park and John A Pillips Park & Preserve
Saturday October 13  10:00am Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park and John A Pillips Park & Preserve We will meet at the entranceway of the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park, 37 Christie Street, Edison, NJ 08820, 732-549-3299, http://www.menloparkmuseum.org/ at 10:00. There is a suggested donation of $5. This is the first lab that Edison worked in during his first marriage. There is also a memorial tower to see. About 16 people came to the Edison State Park and loved it! The Edison State Park is the second lab and house, during his second marriage. I am really looking forward to going here-they finally finished the renovation. Afterwards, around 2:00, we will go to John A Phillips Park & Preserve, Maple and Jon Streets, Old Bridge, NJ 08857, 732-745-3926/3928, http://www.co.middlesex.nj.us/parksrecreation/john-phillips.asp for a hike. Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania
Sunday October 14 9:30 am Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania The sanctuary cares for over 40 wolves that have no place to live in the wild. We will meet at 9:30 am in front of the Target at the intersection of Bustleton and Bleigh in the Northeast, then carpool to the sanctuary. The tour costs $12 per person, and we will eat lunch and probably dinner out. For more information contact Janet at 215-673-9605.

Military History Day at Fort Dupont State Park
Saturday October 20 10:00am Military History Day at Fort Dupont State Park. We will meet at 10:00 at the entranceway of Fort Dupont State Park, 5th Street & New Castle Avenues, Delaware City, DE 19706, 302-834-1941/302-3978105, http://www.destateparks.com/park/fort-dupont/index.asp. The cost is free. This should be a great event! We had a wonderful time at the All Access Tour of Fort Mott State Park, NJ and the History Tour at Fort Delaware, Pea Patch Island, DE, which are 2 of the 3 forts that were built to defend the DE River. I am really looking forward to "finishing up" the tour of the three pronged DE River/Phila/Wilmington American defenses! The cost is free! I am also looking forward to seeing the Hancock House, which we never got to see last time because of time constraints. The cost is free. Academy of Natural Sciences-Shell Exhibit
Sunday October 21 10:00 am Academy of Natural Sciences-Shell Exhibit We will meet at the entranceway of the Academy of Natural Sciences,1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19103, 215-299-1000, http://www.ansp.org/. The cost is free if you get your free pass. Go to www.recyclebank.com/referafriend to get one. You will need to play a couple of games, read some materials and/or take some green pledges-very easy!! Come for as much of the day as you want. If you are coming for only part of the day, please let trip leader Ruth know when to expect you. Haunted Walk
Saturday October 27 6:15 pm Haunted Walk at Indian Acres Tree Farm in Medford, New Jersey. The walk features zombies and a witch doctor. We will meet in front of the Shoprite near the intersection of routes 70 and 73 in South Jersey, then carpool to the farm, and for more information contact Jon at 856-787-0325.

Whitesbog Village
Saturday November 3 10:00 am Whitesbog Village We will meet at the entranceway of Whitesbog Village, 120 North Whitesbog Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015, 609-893-4646, www.whitesbog.org. The cost is $5. We will spend the morning hiking along the trails. From 1:00-3:00, we will take a guided tour. Afterwards, we will walk around the village and drive through the driving tour. Long Pond Ironworks

Zoo
Sunday November 18 12 noon Trip to the Zoo Currently featured is Loki, a new baby Lemur. We will meet in front of the Lion Statue at the main entrance to the zoo at 34th and Girard, and admission is $18. For more information contact Gale at 215-331-8194.

Dreshler-Morris House
Saturday November 24 12 noon Dreshler-Morris House (Germantown White House), Schykill Nature Center and Hikes We will meet at the entranceway of the Dreshler-Morris House at 12 noon for a free tour, 5442 Germantown Avenue, Philadephia, PA 19144, 215-965-2305, http://www.nps.gov/demo/index.htm.
