Day Trip To Washington Mall

Saturday June 22  7:45 am  Day Trip to the Washington Mall  featuring the Smithsonian museums and other attractions near by.  We will meet at 7:45 am at the Great Northeast Plaza at Cottman and Bustleton in the Northeast to take the Starr Tours bus to the Washington Mall and get back at 8:30 pm.  In order to go on this trip you must buy a ticket through Starr Tours, go to www.starrtours.com, click on browse tours and search for "Smithsonian", or call 1-800-782-7703.  If you do go on this trip, or for any other questions, please RSVP to Jon at 856-787-0325.

2012 International Event

 

2012 Mosaic International Labor Day Event

 "Rocky Mountain Chai"

 It's like "Summer Camp for Adults".  We are excited to announce that registration for the 2012 Mosaic International Event is going strong.  Mosaic members from Chapters all across the country will be getting together for this five-day, four-night weekend.  Only a few days left for Early Bird Deal!  

As we announced last Labor Day weekend, the 2012 Event will be held at the JCC Ranch Camp outside of Colorado Springs, CO.  Participants of the main event will arrive on Thursday, August 30 and depart on Monday, September 3.  Pre-trip and post-trip options are available for those who want to enjoy a few more days in Colorado.  

The early-bird cost of the event for Mosaic members is $359 ($409 for non-members), so go ahead and join your local Mosaic club).

Dead Sea Scrolls
Sunday September 23 11:40 am Dead Sea Scrolls at the Franklin Institute. The exhibit features the 2000 year old scrolls and other artifacts. We will meet at 11:40 am at the top of the steps at the main entrance of the Franklin Institute, then go on the timed tour at 12 noon. Tickets cost $31.50, and include general admission to the museum and the planetarium as well as the scrolls. If you go to the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia's web site, www.jewishphilly.org, you can get a code that will get you a discount on the tickets. Sunday July 24  11 am  Neshaminy Pool and Blue Sage Restaurant  We will meet at 11 am in front of the Target at Bustleton and Bleigh Aves. in the Northeast, then carpool to the pool in Bensalem PA.  Afterwards we will have dinner at the Blue Sage Vegetarian Grille in Southhampton PA, and for more information contact Janet at 267-205-6651.  Due to severe heat the swimming portion of this event has been cancelled.  We will still be meeting at the restaurant at 4:30 pm.

Balloon Festival
