Brandywine Zoo Fiesta/DE Museum of Natural History
Saturday September 21 10:00 am  Brandywine Zoo Fiesta/DE Museum of Natural History We will meet at 10:00 at the entranceway to the Brandywine Zoo, 1001 North Park Drive, Brandywine Creek Park, Wilmington, DE 19802, 302-571-7745, www.brandywinezoo.org. The cost is $7 for 18-61, $5 for 3-17 and 62+. The Zoo Fiesta will have pinatas of all of the zoo animals, exhibits of Latin American endangered species and Latin American crafts, music and food. Monmouth Battlefield State Park

At 1:00, we will see the John and Ann Craig House. At 1:30, we will take the free walking tour of the battlefield. Philadelphia Zoo
Sunday October 6 12 noon Philadelphia Zoo Recently coming to the zoo are snow leopard cubs. Admission for adults is $20, and we will meet at 12 noon at the front entrance to the zoo at 34th and Girard at the Lion statue. For more information contact Neal at 215-331-8194.

Jenny Jump State Park and Observatory

Hawk Mountain
Sunday October 13 8 am Hawk Mountain Come see hawks and a variety of other raptors. We will meet at 8 am in front of the Target at Bustleton and Bleigh in the Northeast and carpool to the mountain. Columbus Day Parade and Festival/Shark River Park
Sunday October 13 12 noon Columbus Day Parade and Festival/Shark River Park We will meet at Porter & the Blvd, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751, http://www.columbusnj.org/, for the Annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival at 12:00. Although the boardwalk area is burned down (after still rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy), the parade and festival are still going on. We will go out and cheer them on! The cost is free. At 4:00, we will go to Shark River Park, 100(?) Route 37E, Toms River, NJ 08755 for a hike. Shark River Park is opposite Community Medical Center and Hospital. NJ Lighthouse Challenge
Sunday October 20 9:00 am NJ Lighthouse Challenge We will have the opportunity to visit 5 lighthouses/museums/lifesaving stations that are rarely open, during the Lighthouse Challenge Weekend. The phone number is 609-884-5404 and the websites are: www.lighthousechallengenj.org, www.visitnj.org and http://www.njlhs.org/ At 9:00, we will meet at Tinicum Lighthouse, 72 2nd St and Mantua Avenue, Paulsboro, NJ 08066, 856-423-0673. There is a nominal fee. At 11:00, we will go to East Point Lighthouse, Maurice River Historical Society, PO Box 141, Lighthouse Road, Heislerville, NJ 08324. At 1:00, we will go to the Tatham Lifesaving Station and Museum in Stone Harbor, 117th St & 2nd Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ, www.stephenclublampost331.org. There is a nominal fee. At 2:30, we will go to the Cape May County Historical Museum, 504 Route 9 North, Cape May County, NJ 08210, 609-465-3535, www.cmcmuseum.org. At 4:30, we will go to the US Lifesaving Station 30, 801 4th Street, Ocean City, NJ 08226, www.uslifesavingstation30.org. It is very possible that we will not have enough time to do everything (the lighthouse challenge closes at 6:00 at these places), in which case we will skip the Cape May County Historical Museum and go there another time. The Cape May County Historical Museum is open regularly, unlike the other venues. At the end of the day, we will walk the Ocean City Boardwalk. For more information contact Ruth at 856-375-7405.
