Hiking the appalachian trail through Shenandoah National Park

Saturday March 12 – Monday March 14 A WALK IN THE WOODS - HIKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL THRU SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK with New York Mosaic.
Come on out; shake off the winter blues and take a walk in the woods. Spend a day or two or three hiking the Appalachian Trail through beautiful Shenandoah National Park. Many scenic peaks and overlooks offering panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, as well as a patchwork of woods, farmlands and orchards in the valleys below. Abundant wildlife. Hikes will average 8 to 10 miles a day. There are shorter hike options available. Great for folks in the Washington DC area who wish to only come out for the day. Philadelphia Flower Show

Sunday March 13 12 noon Philadelphia Flower Show This year's theme is "National Parks", and in addition to floral displays features a butterfly room, a garden railway exhibit, and tea tasting. Tickets cost $27 for adults, $20 for students 17-24, $16 for children 2-16, and may be purchased at the show or online at theflowershow.com. We will meet at 12 noon at the sculpture of the Chinese soup bowls under the escalator in the left building as you face the Pennsylvania Convention Center at 12th and Arch Streets. Hike Pennypack Park Extension Trail

Sunday March 27 10:30 am Hike Pennypack Park Extension Trail Enjoy a hike along a relatively new portion of the trail with good views of the Pennypack Creek valley. We will meet at 10:30 am at the Target at Bustelton and Bleigh in the Northeast, then carpool to the park, which is in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Wednesday April 6 6:45 pm Club Meeting at the Longhorn Steak House at 9769 Roosevelt Blvd in the Northeast. At the meeting we will discuss club business and plan events for May and June. Play "Sex With Strangers"

Saturday April 16 1 pm Play "Sex With Strangers" at the Suzzane Roberts Theater at 480 South Broad Street, near Broad and Lombard, in Philadelphia. We will meet at 1 pm to buy tickets for the play, which starts at 2 pm. The cheapest tickets cost $24, which are located in row E of the mezzanine, and it is suggested you buy tickets in advance, as they may sell out. Afterwards we may go out to dinner.
